The Euro Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC)

The Euro Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC) was inaugurated in 1997 at the North Atlantic Cooperation Council (NACC) meeting. The EAPC is a new cooperative mechanism which replaces the NACC and builds upon the successful political and military cooperation established under the NACC and the Partnership for Peace. It provides the framework for political and security related consultations and enhanced cooperation under PfP. All former NACC members and all PfP participating countries have chosen to be members of the EAPC.
